Labetalol is an alpha- and beta-adrenergic blocker used for hypertension (oral) and hypertensive emergency (IV). Formulations: tablets 100, 200, 300 mg; injection 5 mg/mL (4, 20, 40 mL), contains parabens; premixed in 0.72% NaCl 1 mg/mL (100, 200, 300 mL) or D5W 1 mg/mL (200 mL); oral suspension 10 mg/mL, 40 mg/mL.
