Captopril is an ACE inhibitor. Tablets: 12.5, 25, 50, 100 mg. Oral suspension: 1 mg/mL. Onset within 15–30 min; peak effect 1–2 hr. Administer on an empty stomach 1 hr before or 2 hr after meals.
