Cefdinir is a third-generation cephalosporin. Capsules: 300 mg. Oral suspension: 125 mg/5 mL (60, 100 mL), 250 mg/5 mL (60, 100 mL). Use with caution in penicillin-allergic patients or with renal impairment (adjust dose in renal failure; see Chapter 31).
