Tiagabine is an oral anticonvulsant used as adjunctive therapy for partial seizures. It selectively inhibits the reuptake of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) into presynaptic neurons and glial cells, increasing synaptic GABA concentrations. It is available as tablets (2, 4, 12, 16 mg) and oral suspension (1 mg/mL).
