Quetiapine is a second-generation (atypical) antipsychotic used for the treatment of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, including bipolar mania. It is available as immediate-release and extended-release oral tablets as well as oral suspension. Dosing is titrated over several days and individualized based on diagnosis, age, efficacy, and tolerability.
