Polymyxin B sulfate and trimethoprim sulfate ophthalmic solution is a topical antibiotic combination used for the treatment of susceptible bacterial eye infections. Ophthalmic solution: polymyxin B sulfate 10,000 units/mL and trimethoprim sulfate 1 mg/mL in 10 mL bottles; some preparations contain approximately 0.04 mg/mL benzalkonium chloride.
