Haloperidol is a typical antipsychotic agent used for psychosis, agitation, and Tourette's syndrome in children and adults. Formulations: Injection for IM use only—lactate 5 mg/mL (1, 10 mL); decanoate (long-acting) 50, 100 mg/mL (1, 5 mL) in sesame oil with 1.2% benzyl alcohol. Tablets: 0.5, 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 mg. Oral solution: 2 mg/mL (15, 120 mL).
