Adenosine is an antiarrhythmic used for termination of supraventricular tachycardia (SVT). Injection 3 mg/mL (2, 4 mL); preservative free. Follow each dose with normal saline flush. T1/2 <10 sec. If necessary, doses may be administered intraosseously (IO). Use with caution in combination with digoxin (enhanced depressant effects on SA and AV nodes).
